Richard Bryan Holbrook

Richard Bryan Holbrook 09/30/46 ~ 01/26/07 Our beloved father, brother, son and friend returned home to his Heavenly Father early Friday morning, January 26, 2007, surrounded by his family. Richard pursued his passion during his work as a furniture manufacturers representative and long time President of Lakewood's Home Furnishings. He served a faithful mission in the Cook Islands and as Stake Sunday School President, among other callings for the LDS Church. Shortly after his mission he was sealed to Selena Hunt in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and she gave him five beautiful children. He was later married for 13 years to Diane Harvey and was close to her children, Dak and Ivy. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Dell R. Holbrook; and brother, Craig Holbrook. Richard is survived by his mother, Maxine H. Holbrook; brother, Stephen Holbrook; children, Rick (Christie), Maurena (Nate), Mark (Nikki), Kristen and Bryan; and grandchildren, Hailee, Charlie, and Ricky; along with many more to come, right Dad? Richard was a very loving, gentle and charitable man who embraced all those he met without prejudice. There is not one time we can recall him speaking a harsh word against anyone. Dad, although our time with you was too short, we understand that you were needed elsewhere. We will miss your positive outlook and unconditional love and know that you will always be with us. Funeral services will be held Mon., Jan. 29, 2007 12 noon, at the Canyon Park Ward Chapel, 1190 E. Bountiful Hills Dr., Bountiful, UT. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary (801) 295-5505, 295 N. Main, and Monday morning from 11-11:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com
