Graveside services for Kent Gaylen Thalman, 30, of Idaho City, Idaho will be conducted Monday in the Bountiful Cemetery, Bountiful, Utah.

He was born June 3, 1946 in Salt Lake City, a son of Ferry and Georgia Green Thalman. Received his schooling in Bountiful, attended the University of Utah where he received his engineering degree. Married Mary Jean Turley, March 1973 in Salt Lake City. Worked for the United States Forest Service as a civili engineer in Alaska, Utah, Nevada, and Idaho. He had lived in Idaho since his marriage.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jean of Boise, Idaho; mother, Georgia Thalman, Wood Cross, Utah; brother, Phil Thalman, Park City; 2 sisters, Kenna Taylor, Salt Lake City; Shirley Price, Woods Cross; maternal grandmother, Marlane Green, Salt Lake City.
