Ross Joseph Birdsall

Ross Joseph Birdsall, Jr. passed away peacefully on February 23, 2014. He was born January 7, 1946 in Bountiful, Utah to Ross Joseph Birdsall and Delilah Jane Birdsall. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam war where he received the Purple Heart. He also received the Bronze Star with the combat V.

He worked in the construction business for 40 years and retired at age 62.

"Joe" enjoyed 4-wheeling with friends up in the Bountiful hills. He loved the mountains and open air. He also enjoyed deer hunting with his family. He had many fond memories of hunting trips with his brothers and father.

He is survived by his son, Cody Joseph Birdsall; daughter, Brook Cole; 2 brothers: Richard Allen Birdsall and Gilbert (Jill) Birdsall; sister, Kandace Kay Child; and 3 grandchildren: Mason, Austin and Alexa. Preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com.
