He served a faithful LDS Mission to Helsinki Finland from 1965-1967.
He learned to work hard from his parents. He sorted nuts and bolts, and bucked rivets for 10 cents an hour at his dad's shop. He has been a hard worker ever since, most of his life he worked as a computer programmer.
He married the love of his life Nina Lou Eggett in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 12, 1970. They met at a 6 Stake M Men-Gleaner picnic at Farmington Park. Nina won him over with her yummy deviled eggs.
He loved his Savior and served in many church positions, in both his stake and ward. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church and was a friend too all. He enjoyed camping with his family, loved nature especially Mount Olympus and watching the sunset. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Nina and 5 children; Jeffrey Larsen of Jacksonville, FL; Jason Larsen of Lehi, UT; Mindy Schow (Craig) of Murray, UT; Sarah Rodney (Aaron) of Cottonwood Heights, UT; Erik Larsen of Irvine,CA. 7 grandchildren; Eden, Brooklyn, and Amelia Schow; Chance and Marley Rodney; and Lily and Ella Larsen. He is also survived by his brothers, sisters and other extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Wayne and sister in law Jane Larsen.
Funeral services will be held Friday Nov 3 at 11 am at Brighton chapel 2301 E Bengal Blvd. A viewing will be held the night before Thursday Nov 2, at Cannon Mortuary 2460 E Bengal Blvd from 6-8 pm and also prior to the funeral at the ward house from 10-1045 am.
