Denise Lou Skelton Litster
Denise Lou Skelton Litster 1946 ~ 2009 Denise Lou Skelton Litster passed peacefully from this life on November 12, 2009.She was born April 11, 1946 in Tooele, UT to Brant and Mary Milner Skelton. She was preceded in death by her parents and both of her brothers: Brant M. Skelton and David M. Skelton. She married Dean C. Litster on Oct. 7, 1968, they divorced in 1983. She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Ellen and Mason Paddock, Michael and Shayla, Peter and Aubrie and 10 grandchildren: Zachary, Jacob, Devon, Megan, Allison, Kael, Isaac, Morghan, Aiden, and Edyn. Denise was born in Tooele, moved to Bountiful when she was about eight, and spent the majority of her life in Woods Cross. She graduated from Bountiful High School and attended BYU. She loved her neighbors in Woods Cross and all the friends she had collected over the years from working at Pace's, Bratten's, Farmer's Bank, Albertsons, and Safeway and living in various wards. She had a fabulous sense of humor. She loved being out in her yard, unless it was hot. She loved her dogs, Christmas music, sunsets, roses, plants, serving others and people. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings. She put up a good fight for 30 years against M.S. (Multiple Sclerosis). She tried many experimental therapies, including having live bees shipped to the house and stinging herself a couple of times a day. She would have tried anything to kick this disease. She never gave up. She had a good attitude to the end. We are excited for her to be reunited with her parents and brothers and to be free from her tired body. We love you Mom! The family would like to thank North Canyon Care Center and Bristol Hospice for the loving care that they gave her. We would also like to thank all of her faithful friends for visiting her often. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the Woods Cross 9th Ward, 790 West 1500 South. A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. At Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Wednesday morning 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. At the church prior to services.
