Albert was born on July 22, 1946 to Mary Jane and Albert Valdez Sr. He was the youngest of four children; Edith Sutter, Betty Jo Blank, and his best friend and brother Jim (Lorrie) ValDez.
Albert served in the United States Navy in communications and proudly served during the Vietnam War. Albert and Libbie married January 11, 1969 after going out on only a few dates and spent the next 50 years together.
Albert enjoyed the time he spent as a bus driver, although his true passion was as a cartoonist. He often drew caricatures in a matter of minutes, that captured and conveyed a person’s sense of humor or personality. Our hearts and home are filled with his drawings. He had the most infectious laugh and laughed harder at his own jokes than any of us did. Albert was the life of every party and if there was music playing, you could bet that he and Libbie would be dancing.
Albert is survived by his loving wife, Libbie, his three children; Andrea (Kenneth) Park, James (Jenn) ValDez, and Lisa (Patrick) McCleery, his six grandchildren; Carmen, Valencia (Eutimio), Kajsa, Tavia, Jayme, and Trey, and his great-granddaughter, Reyna.
