Connie Bangerter passed peacefully away in her home May 16th 2026 surrounded by the love of her family and dear friends. She was born on October 9, 1946, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Charles White Bangerter and Fern Elda Wright Bangerter.

Connie grew up on the family farm alongside her siblings Reed, Phil, Bonnie, Alan, and Hal. She graduated from Bountiful High School and developed the strong work ethic, determination, and sense of humor that stayed with her throughout her life.

At just 17 years old, she began working at First Security Bank making branch deliveries between banks. In her twenties while still working there she had James and continued on working as a single mom.

Through years of hard work and dedication, she became the company’s first female vice president. She retired during the Wells Fargo buyout. Later, she owned a concrete business and proudly worked alongside her son James.

While working at First Security, Connie also owned a lawn mower repair shop in the 1970s. During that time, she opened her heart and home to Clark and Chris, later adopting and raising them as her own sons with deep love and devotion.

Connie was a loving mother to James, Clark, and Chris, and dearly loved Kellie and her treasured grandchildren: Stasya, Dallas, Treyten, Siarrah, Trinity, Dalila, and Syrys. She loved spending time with family, supporting her children and grandchildren, traveling, golfing, bowling, baseball, raising animals, serving others, and making people laugh.

Her faith was an important part of her life. Connie faithfully served in the Jordan River Utah Temple and in the Relief Society presidency, quietly blessing many lives through her kindness and compassion.

She later moved back to Bountiful to help care for her mother. While living in Bountiful, she worked at the landfill and on the family farm. She loved farm work and continued working there until she no longer had the strength to do so, even after her Parkinson’s diagnosis.

Despite her battle with Parkinson’s disease, Connie continued finding joy in family, friends, farming, sunshine, flowers, laughter, and visits from those she loved. The family extends a special thank you to her son James for his loving care and devotion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Fern Bangerter; her brothers Reed and Hal; and her sister-in-law Diane Bangerter.

Connie is survived by her sons James, Clark, and Chris; Kellie; her beloved grandchildren Stasya, Dallas, Treyten, Siarrah, Trinity, Dalila, and Syrys; her siblings Phil (Diane), Bonnie (John), and Alan, and her sister-in-law Sharon; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who loved her deeply. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26 at 11 am at the Bountiful 19th Ward building, 1540 North 400 East, Bountiful, Utah.

Interment will follow at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
